Swedish rock band Europe performed live at The Granada Theater in Lawrence, KS on January 27, 2016 in promotion of its new album “War of Kings” (2015). It was the first time the band toured the United States in several years. With a classic lineup fronted by original lead singer Joey Tempest, the band delivered tracks from the new record and wowed the crowd with those classic hits like “Carrie” and “The Final Countdown,” which reached No. 1 in 25 countries and No. 8 on the U.S. pop chart. It was an amazingly nostalgic evening featuring that same energy and hallowed sound of its youth.
